profile picture of Nikita Nikulsin

Dr. Nikulsin is a theoretical physicist studying MHD equilibrium and stability properties of stellarators. His research combines analytical and numerical techniques, using insight gained from analytical results to guide numerical exploration. Dr. Nikulsin is presently a postdoc at Princeton University, working in Prof. Bhattacharjee’s group. Before that, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching, Germany, where he completed his doctoral thesis on extending the JOREK nonlinear MHD code to stellarators, under the direction of Dr. Hölzl and Prof. Günter.
